Rachel Ramsey, a 42-year-old self-employed horticulturist and devoted single mother, has been facing one of the toughest battles of her life. Recently diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma, a form of stomach cancer, Rachel’s world was turned upside down after what she initially thought was a simple hernia. Following severe heartburn, an endoscopy revealed her diagnosis on August 29, and just a few weeks later, she began the challenging journey of chemotherapy.

For Rachel, this fight is more than a personal struggle. As the sole provider for her two children, ages 12 and 18, Rachel has had to press on despite immense challenges. Six years ago, she lost her husband, Jack, to a brain tumor. Now, as she faces cancer herself, she’s determined to stay strong for her children, even as her ability to work is limited. Unable to manage her horticulture business while coping with treatments, fatigue, and a feeding tube, Rachel’s expenses have continued to mount, adding pressure to an already difficult time.
